Jessica is the original founder of Visionary Equine. She didn’t grow up in a barn, but got there as soon as she could! As a youth Jessica showed her Arabian mare, Rockin el Godiva, in a number of events including dressage, hunters, and hunter pleasure. While attending Texas A&M Jessica was introduced to quarter horses through the Animal Science program and fell in love with the breed and its versatility. This led her to join and become the National President of the American Collegiate Horsemens Association, and to also become a competing member of the Texas A&M Horse Judging Team. It was during her time on the Judging Team that she discovered the exciting sport of reining.
While Jessica was fascinated by reining, and kept up with the sport, it was her english roots that led her to start Visionary Equine in 2008. Jessica wanted to create a small, honest company where clients could enjoy their horses and grow in their goals. When she met Mark in 2013 though, she was able to get back into reining and is very excited to begin showing in the non-pro.
Jessica’s role now at Visionary Equine is to keep the barn in running order, ensuring that all of the horses receive the best care, as well as maintaining the records for the barn, billings, and all clerical duties, along with social media postings. When she’s not working in the office or the barn Jessica can typically be found behind the lens of her camera photographing both clients and horses for VisEq Media.
